So after months of prep, super hard work, and a very small-to-0 budget coming out of my pocket, this is my first music video for “Sunshine.”
I am so blessed to have worked with
the cast and crewmy friends who put in so much of their artistry, talents, and dedication into this lil’ ol’ project of mine. During the time of making this video, things were so crazy and hectic because I was just finishing up the last song on my album and getting it ready for print…but because everyone was so easy to work with, it was an absolute JOY to have been on such a SUNSHINY team. Rehearsals, meetings, and the actual filming of this music video was so fulfilling and such a learning experience. I really can’t stress HOW BLESSED I AM to work with every single person who took part in this production.I KNOW the “quality” of the this production is not as fancy shmancy as everyone else’s on YouTube right now. VERY MUCH AWARE OF THAT. ;) We didn’t have a super awesome camera (we used an older models normally used for documentaries), used a make-shift dolly, had ONE light, a small crew…but I hope you can all appreciate it for what it’s worth…the message, the art, and the HEART that everyone put into this. I’m a work your way up kinda girl, and when I’ve worked my way to afford a bigger budget MYSELF to hire more people and get better equipment—then I’ve done my job as an artist and as a businesswoman. :)
BUT I hope you all like it! We all worked SUPER hard on this with the very little resources we had. May this bring you all some kind of hope and sunshine to your lives. Please pass some sunshine along. :)

Congrats to our beloved Anakbayan LA member Krystle Tugadi on her first music video!! Do the damn thing! I like the dance sequence. Reminds me of one of my favorite films, 500 Days of Summer.
